Here’s a super simple way to make chicken legs – two different flavours.
All you need are the chicken, salt and sweet chilli sauce.
The Halal chicken legs happen to be on sale at No Frills this week for $1.69/LB, so this simple, healthy, nutritious main dish, possibly feeding a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) costed less than $6.00! I actually prefer to buy Halal because the meats in the packages always are ‘cleaner’ meaning they have very little blood to hardly any compared to regular meats.
Generously salt chicken legs:
Heat pan with oil using medium-low heat. Sear chicken on each side for 3 minutes – this will brown the chicken nicely and make it crispy on the outside (to save time, this step can be skipped). Meanwhile, heat the oven at 375C.
Place this in the oven and bake for 40 minutes.
At the same time, you can also bake a variety of potatoes, or make my root vegetable salad:
First Way: Eat as is. You can also make and add gravy to it from the pan dripping. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm…………
Second way: or you can just simply add the amount of sweet chili sauce you desire directly from the bottle onto the chicken. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm……………
‘Till next time,
